ENERGY EFFICIENCY
If it is important for you to save on our bills and to have warm house in winter, use Super Energy-Efficient ARTECH THERM windows.
In ARTECH THERM option, you may have large windows without need to worry about heat loss.
Passive windows – a window compliant with the requirements of passive housing which, due to high thermal insulation, may be heated by heat sources including sunlight radiation and heat emitted by residents and household appliances. These may be windows with 3-pane glazing units, for example. Often, special polyurethane foam is used in these structures. In distinction to the standard depth of window frames (approx. 68 mm), passive windows are between 88 and 120mm deep. The main purpose of passive windows is to ensure high tightness of a building and avoid thermal bridges.
ENERGY-EFFICIENT, WARM WINDOWS ARE WARRANTED BY THE FOLLOWING ELEMENTS:
WARM PROFILE
86 mm or 80 mm deep profile.
PANES
THERM pane glazing unit (48 mm) built of 3 panes, in which 2 panes have thermal insulation coating and inter-glazing space is filled with noble gas (argon).
Thermal transmittance value for the pane is very low, warranting a very warm window.
GASKETS
Gaskets protect against heat loss, noise, permeation of moisture or dust ingress. Properties of our gaskets remain stable from -40 to 110°C. Additional third gasket is used in ARTECH THERM windows increasing windows’ insulation performance.
WARM INSTALLATION OF WINDOWS
Warm installation of a window allows energy-efficient windows to maintain their insulation performance, i.e. to be tightly installed. It is a multilayer installation of windows using vapour-permeable tapes and vapour barriers as well as polyurethane foams or PURS expanding tapes. Such installation allows for elimination of thermal bridges which may be created around it.
WINDOW APPEARANCE
Well selected profiles are becoming a dominant element of the building’s facade and determine the style of house interior. The selected shape and colour of a window will give your house an individual character.

COLOURS
ARTECH THERM line windows are available in more than 200 colours – RAL colours, veneers in the colours of wood and aluminium. Colours do not change their shade under changing weather conditions. The most popular ones are presented below:

FUNCTIONALITY
Functionality of a window is not limited just to the possibility to open and tilt a window. Use innovative solutions of ARTECH RENO line, which will make the use of windows and balcony doors easier.
Handle-controlled brake of balcony doors– open balcony doors do not close in case of draught or wind.
Balcony doors in version with low aluminium doorsill, allowing balcony doors to be flush faced with a floor.
Closing balcony doors from outwards – especially useful for e.g. smokers. Little pull handle and special fittings allow for closing balcony doors from outwards.
Window ventilation (small tilt) – protects a room against water condensation on glass panes and the risk of mould formation. It is also a good choice during rainy days (rain is not falling inside) and protection against mosquitoes.
Blocking of wind tilt –
tilt window/ balcony door does not close in case of draught.
The highest quality easy-to-close fittings by German Siegenia company (Titan model) – sash does not drop because the system automatically raises the sash during closing.
Blocking system protecting against improper handling for tilt and turn windows/ balcony doors, e.g. protecting against sash falling out from a top hinge.
VENTILATION
All PVC windows are “ultra-tight” and may cause excessive air humidity level in a room, followed by increased risk of mould formation. On the other side, air exchange, especially in winter, costs a vast amount of precious energy. Venting through an open or tilted window occurs very rapidly, causing serious heat losses in a short period of time (approx. 2°C in 10 minutes); therefore, use our innovative ventilation solutions provided in ARTECH COMFORT line – choose the best option for you:
ACOUSTIC INSULATION
Noise influences on our health and comfort. If you live nearby a noisy street or in the district where children make a lot of noise, and you want to comfortably rest after work, use ARTECH THERM windows. Suitable noise reduction coefficient Rw * at the level of 31 dB will protect you against unwanted noise from outside.
* Acoustic insulation of windows is expressed using noise reduction coefficient Rw given in decibels (dB). The higher the Rw value, the less noise gets inside.
If, outdoor sound pressure level is 70 dB (e.g. passing truck) and Rw parameter for a window is 31 dB, the sound pressure inside will be at the level of 39dB.
WINDOW RIGIDITY
Each building expands and contracts, and so initiated stress may potentially damage a window. Therefore, our profiles are built from 6 chambers, steel reinforced along the whole perimeter.
External aluminium warrants suitable rigidity of such a slim window.
NOTE: In a very hot climate, aluminium is an additional protection for PVC against high temperatures.
